Today, it pays to be price savvy. Just be aware that storage space is quoted per cubic or square metre. How many square or cubic metres needed depends on the quantity, size and shape of the items you plan to store.

- How much space will I need?
The questions to ask are — How accessible do I want the goods to be? How often will I need to access the unit? What do I want to use the unit for? The answers to those questions influence the amount of space needed. But don’t sweat over the calculations. We can help work it out. Just call.
- Do I need insurance?
Goods held in self-storage remain the responsibility of the lessee (that’s you). The owner’s insurance covering the complex does not cover individual items within individual units. The Self Storage Association of Australasia strongly recommends that all customers take out insurance cover. We can organise insurance for you at very competitive prices.
- Can I inspect the facility before I make a choice?
We invite you to inspect Airport Self Storage. However, we realise not everyone can get to us during site office hours. For that reason, viewings by appointment are available. For those of you interstate or overseas — we can organise a storage unit via telephone or email.
- What should I be aware of?
Self-storage differs from traditional storage in that the owner of the goods is responsible for and retains control over the goods after they have been placed in storage. It is your responsibility to lock your unit and keep the key safe.
- What lessee terms are available?
We offer terms from one week to one year or more. We understand how quickly your storage needs can change so we try to be as flexible as possible.
- What options do I have to pay my rent?
You can organise to pay via cash, personal cheque, money order, bank cheque, direct debit, or credit card. You can visit the site office during office hours and pay in person or arrange direct debits. The choice is yours.
- What can I store?
Cars, boats, caravans, furniture, tools and equipment through to boxes or container loads – whatever it is, you can store it. With over 130 storage units in Perth and 12 different sizes — the perfect storage solution is just a phone call away. However, you can not store substances, wastes, liquids or items that do not meet Australian material safety standards (e.g. flammables, hazardous materials, or munitions). That also includes illegal substances and goods.
- Will my goods be safe?
Unfortunately, there are no guarantees. In today’s world, there is no way of predicting incidences of an accidental or deliberate nature. For that reason, insurance is strongly recommended.
- Will anyone else have a key for my storage unit?
Absolutely not. You can bring your own padlock or purchase one of ours — either way you hold the only keys. Plus, every customer is issued with an individual access code to open the gate. We can track all those who enter and leave the complex 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- What hours can I access my unit?
As an added security measure, we ask you to nominate one of three access time frames:
(A) 7 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.
(B) 5 a.m. – 9.00 p.m.
(C) Or access hours by special arrangement.
Your nominated access time frame is entered into the computer. The computer will not allow the gate to open outside your nominated times.
- Are the storage units clean and dry?
Yes. After each customer vacates the unit is inspected to ensure it has remained clean, dry and intact. All the same, we strongly recommend you purchase insurance to cover your possessions whilst in storage.
